Touliankina - Van Hellemont
Tatiana Touliankina and Ludovic Van Hellemont form a piano duo since 2014. They studied chamber music at the Hochschule für Musik Basel with Claudio Martinez Mehner and Anton Kernjak. In addition, they followed masterclasses with Ferenc Rados and Alexei Lubimov. In constant search of the dialogue between the known and the unknown, they construct programs around specific themes, in which self-made transcriptions are often included. They have performed on modern and historic instruments in Belgium, France, Germany and Switzerland.
"Nacht und Träume"
Matthäus von Collin's poem "Nacht und Träume" was the basis for one of Schubert's most beautiful songs. While the night is associated with danger in many art forms, Collin depicts a world of great safety and peace, out of which one would preferably never wake up again. "Kehre wieder, heil’ge Nacht! Holde Träume, kehret wieder!". This program is an exploration of Collins dreamworld. Based on Debussy's "Six Épigraphes Antiques", as well as known and unknown pieces by Jongen, Grieg, Saint-Saëns, Albeniz and Ravel, they aim to put the poem in a broader perspective.
